Partial "CASE" Pop-Up!

I swear that I had this idea after I went to bed one night and then the next morning found it on someone's blog! The only thing that I "copied" from her was the technique for making the clouds. Stampin' With Di is where I saw the other card- her blog is hilarious (she's a funny person) and she does wonderful work- check her out!

Is it not weird how different the colors are of the blue cardstock in these pics.? I took the pics. all at the same time under the same light conditions but the variations are really freaking me out! LOL

Anyhow, I'll tell you gals about the cloud technique and then list my supplies used! To make the clouds, you will need a scallop punch. Punch out a scallop on some cardstock (any kind will do) and then with white Staz-On ink (you could probably use Craft ink as well) use the template (negative area) of the cardstock that you just punched out to sponge the ink onto your base (in this case, Baja Breeze). You only want to sponge across half of the negative space. Then move your template to another area and sponge again. It's O.K. if you overlap clouds- looks more natural that way!

I'm not posting a photo of the outside of this card because it is U-G-L-Y!!!! I really screwed up on it. I need to go back and see if I can fix the front and then will post another pic. later!

Supplies used: Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Whisper White
Ink: Staz-On white, Summer Sun, Kiwi Kiss, Staz-On brown, Pumpkin Pie, Almost Amethyst
Stamps: Flight of the Butterfly, Inspired by Nature
Accessories: scallop punch, Tombow glue, paper snips, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig

Enjoy!

I love this card! When I saw this technique showed at convention my mouth just dropped open and the wheels inside my head started turning. Great job. Can't wait to make one of my own.

I love this! I had thought about making a spring card with this set, but like you, didn't do it before I saw it on di's blog. Your version is great! I love how fun the card is!
